nonlinear optics of organic materials, photonics

real-time holography in liquid crystals and photoactive polymers, second and third order nonlinear optical processes, nanophotonics, optofluidics
(iii) current research interest
Nonlinear optical effects in organics: crystals, polymers and liquid crystals. The effects of main interest are: photoorientation of molecules by light, real-time holography, phase conjugation, photorefraction, optical processing, photochromic materials also biopolymers. Liquid crystals as materials for optical information processing. Linear electrooptic effect, second harmonic generation in organic and hybrid materials, optical Kerr effect, random lasisng and recently SHG in organic nanocrystals, azo-polymers and Marangoni effect in fluids and colloids.
